Let me take you back to 2015 when I was on the hunt for the ultimate work-from-home job with just a laptop. Back then, the concept of virtual assistance was totally off my radar — until a friend casually dropped the suggestion in my lap. Cue the frantic Google search for “Virtual Assistant” and “work-from-home jobs.”
And just like that, I stumbled upon a goldmine. Turns out, virtual assistance wasn’t just a thing, it was a thriving industry waiting for folks like you and me to jump in. Suddenly, it clicked — this was something I could do to earn money at home with the skills I already had.

When it came time to slap a name on my virtual assistant business, I kept it simple – Ashley Assistance. Yep, you read that right. I literally used my last name, Ashley. And you know what? It worked like a charm.
With just that straightforward name, I managed to not only sell out my services but also replace my own income and even match my husband’s six-figure paycheck (he was a government contractor at the time, by the way). Crazy, right?
