I have been asked countless times how I created my branded Gmail signature, so I wanted to post it for you all today.

The entire process should take less than 30 minutes (I finished mine in 8, in the video) and it’s an awesome way to instantly look more professional in your email correspondence.

Additionally, you’ll be able to add your own social share links to your email with my free download icons!

Abbey, For some reason, I am only able to get the first 2:35 of this video. It shows it is an 8-minute video but will only play the 2:35. Not sure where the issue is.

This was so helpful! I’m having an issue downloading it. I don’t get the option to “download for web”. It just tells me to download as a PDF because it has links in it. The image maker wont accept a PDF. Help??

  11. Amanda Shuman on November 5, 2016 at 6:34 pm

Hi! I made my signature and I LOVE it! Thank you so much! I am having one issue with it though…I created it through gmail settings as you showed in the video and it works if I send an email from the web, but I also have my email accounts linked to “Mail” on my Mac and the signature does not transfer to that platform. Is there a simple way to transfer it to work there as well? Thanks so much!!!

  18. Rolando on February 8, 2017 at 1:28 am

Thanks but I couldn’t watch the entire video. The TV playing in the background was annoying and unprofessional. Sorry.

    • Abbey Ashley on February 9, 2017 at 3:16 pm

I’m sorry you felt it was unprofessional, Rolando! I was working out of a coffee shop that day.

  19. Tenni on March 5, 2017 at 11:19 am

Is it possible to do this on MailChimp or ConvertKit?

    • Abbey Ashley on March 9, 2017 at 5:23 pm

      Hi Tenni,
Yes, you can use the branded Gmail Signature image you’ve created and save it in Jpeg form and you can include it in your MailChimp or Convertkit emails. Make sure to “preview” before posting in your Email Subscribing so you can make any changes if needed.

Let me know if you have any questions!

  20. Allison on August 14, 2017 at 9:26 pm

Thank you it was Helpful but you talk too fast it and sounded like mumbling at times. Is there a written version? I really want to do this.

    • Abbey Ashley on August 15, 2017 at 7:36 pm

Hey Allison–I’m glad you found it helpful, and thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately there is not a written version, but we can definitely consider writing one! Stay tuned. 🙂

  24. Angela Hendry on June 13, 2018 at 10:11 am

    Hi Abbey,
I worked through your video for a good portion of my day yesterday and finally got something I was happy with. Then sent it to a few people for critique. Unfortunately it didn’t read the same on everyones platform. Is this something you were aware of or is it just me? I deal with clients all over so I need a signature that works all all platforms. Any tips?
    thanks

    • Abbey Ashley on June 13, 2018 at 5:33 pm

I’m sorry to hear that you had trouble with your email signature Angela! It does work on all platforms. It sounds like perhaps it was an issue with adding it to Gmail. Were you able to create the link first?

  25. Christen on July 13, 2018 at 11:51 am

Super helpful, thank you! Only trouble I have is my images once saved from Canva to my computer, become grainy/blurry as PNG’s or JPGs. If saved as PDF’s they aren’t. When I create the link and upload into Gmail they are slightly blurry looking. I noticed yours isn’t. Is there something I am doing wrong that you can advise to avoid? I love that you gave such an easy to understand process-I’ve bene trying to get my signature done for a while and knowing how to create the url was the hangup! Thank you!

    • Abbey Ashley on July 19, 2018 at 5:44 pm

Hey Christen! Once you have your pdf from Canva, take it over to https://smallpdf.com/ & convert it to the jpg. Its free for 3 images in one hour. Once your image is a jpg, you’ll be all set.

  26. Josie Mumm on December 10, 2018 at 4:13 pm

Hi Abbey! Love this, I made my own and one for my sister’s business. I love the little round social icons. I’m wondering if you have any to use to direct people to a website?

  27. Sarah Davis on March 23, 2022 at 3:58 pm

Will this work with other mail platforms? I currently use outlook.com. Also, I have an email account that I set up when I got my domain set up. I go through Hostinger and the mail client they use is Titan. Will this also work there?

  28. McCaslin on April 17, 2023 at 8:54 pm

Thank you so much for this blog post!! Seriously exactly what I was looking for and needed.
